What to Wear: Fall 2015

One of the only things you have to worry about and plan for during your Senior session is outfits; at least that includes a little extra shopping! Hair and makeup is done for you here at MGP and styling is included, but first you have to do some research on what best fits your style, your skin tones, and the type of year. Fall is a favorite for us all and the most popular time to book your senior session, so you have to make it on point with styling some perfect outfits.

The first question to ask yourself is: how would you describe your style? Do you love to dress business casual to school? Or are you more of a casual dresser who adds a pop of sophistication in every outfit? Or are you most happy in a razorback tee and ripped skinnies? You have a uniqueness about you that makes you YOU and the best place to represent that is in your senior portraits. Remember to not dress like someone you’re not. There is only one of exactly you out there and that makes you pretty darn special.

I love referring to this chart when talking to my seniors about their style and what outfits jump off the screen and scream, “HEY GET IN MY CLOSET YESTERDAY!”

So find which style speaks to you and accent it. Picking the right styles can make or break the photos. Here is a set of my favorite guidelines and tips on what to do and not do!

Remember that with Fall, you can and SHOULD add a blazer, scarf, or other accessories to take your outfits to the next level–just remember these helpful tips above as you’re shopping. If the outfit you have causes the person looking at you to notice the top before your face, it isn’t the right outfit for you.
Happy Shopping! <3

Meagan
